How much does a Microsoft Teams Room cost in the UK?

A Microsoft Teams Room costs £3,000 to £8,000 installed for a huddle room, £8,000 to £20,000 for a standard meeting room and £25,000 to £60,000+ for a boardroom in the UK in 2026, with the Teams Rooms licence on top: Basic is free for up to 25 rooms per tenant and Pro is about £36 per room per month. The certified bar is a smaller share of that total than most buyers expect; displays, microphones, control, cabling and commissioning make up the rest.
From the floor. The gap between two quotes for the same Teams Room almost never sits in the bar. It sits in the second display, the ceiling microphone and its DSP, and the containment needed to get cable to a wall with no power behind it. Ask for those as separate lines and the comparison becomes honest. (David Corker, Technical Sales Director)

What moves the price
- A second display adds a commercial panel, mount, cabling and a second video output, and is standard from the meeting room tier up.
- Ceiling microphones (Shure, Sennheiser, Yealink) with a DSP replace the bar's built-in array once the table passes about 4 metres.
- Crestron or Q-SYS control on top of the Teams console, for lighting, blinds and source switching, adds hardware and programming days.
- Joinery and cabling: credenzas, display walls, raised floors and containment can cost as much as the AV in a boardroom.
- Platform choice: a native Teams Room costs more than a BYOD room with a USB bar, but gives one-touch join and central management.
Running costs
Beyond the licence, budget 8 to 15 per cent of the installed value a year for support and maintenance (£150 to £600 per room per year), covering firmware, monitoring and fault response. Which licence tier you need is covered in the Basic versus Pro licence FAQ; design, installation and licence assignment are described on the Microsoft Teams Rooms page, and if the platform decision is still open, start with the video conferencing systems comparison.
Quick reference: huddle £3k-£8k, standard meeting room £8k-£20k, boardroom £25k-£60k+ installed; Basic licence free up to 25 rooms, Pro about £36/room/month; support 8-15% of installed value a year.
