A Zoom Room is a meeting room running Zoom's dedicated room software on certified Logitech, Poly, Yealink or Neat hardware, so anyone can join a Zoom meeting in one touch from the room calendar. Installed, a huddle Zoom Room typically costs £3,000 to £8,000, a meeting room £8,000 to £20,000 and a boardroom £25,000 to £60,000+, plus a Zoom Rooms licence of about £45 per room per month. Zoom Rooms hardware by room size
Zoom certifies two kinds of room hardware: Zoom Rooms Appliances, all-in-one Android bars and boards that run the Zoom Rooms app natively, and Zoom Rooms on Windows or Mac, a small PC with certified cameras, microphones and speakers. Appliances cover most UK rooms; the PC route is for boardrooms with bespoke audio. Every room needs a certified controller and its own Zoom Rooms licence.

Authorised Zoom Rooms installers: what certification means
"Authorised Zoom Rooms installer" is used loosely in the UK. Two things are worth checking before you sign. First, that every device quoted is on Zoom's own certified hardware list, which is what keeps firmware tested, support available and Zoom Device Management working. Second, that the installer is an authorised partner of the hardware manufacturers it quotes (Logitech, Poly, Yealink, Neat), because manufacturer authorisation is what carries the warranty, advance replacement and access to engineering support when a room misbehaves.
- Certified hardware only. Every bar, controller and camera on Zoom's certified list; "works with Zoom" is not the same thing.
- Manufacturer authorisation. Written partner status with the brands quoted, so warranty and firmware escalation run through the installer rather than a reseller marketplace.
- Tenant work done properly. Calendar resource accounts, Zoom Device Management enrolment, room profiles and direct guest join configured before handover, not left to your IT team.
- A site survey before the quote. Back-row distance, acoustics, power and network points decide which bar or camera works; a quote from a floor plan is a guess.
- Information security. ISO 27001 certification and a clear process for admin access to your Zoom tenant.
- A written support SLA. Remote monitoring and an on-site response time for critical rooms (4 hours is a sensible bar).
