Position: AV Engineer Assistant
Location: Required close to Frimley, Surrey

Job Description – Reporting to the Operations Director

• You will work with the Senior Audio-Visual Engineer and assist in the installation of audio-visual equipment, ensuring work is completed within the required timescale and to the highest standard.
• You will be required to be prepared to move products around our customers site ready for the Senior Engineer to install.
• After each location area is completed, you will need to ensure the area is left clean and tidy.
• You will have the opportunity to assist the Senior Engineer in completing documentation on completion of a job.
• The ability to carry out installations when the Senior Engineer is on Annual Leave.

 

You will be responsible for,  once fully trained:

• Installation of all equipment to the highest standard.
• Some rack building maybe required
• Maintaining van stock to set company levels including spares.
• Where relevant it will be your responsibility to check the paperwork at least a day in advance and refer any queries to the engineering department.
• Collect any goods/spares from warehouse or supplier as instructed.
• Assist in ensuring all paperwork associated with installs are completed and returned to the relevant office personnel – Sign offs/photographs must be sent at the end of each day electronically to the office.
• To make contact with the engineering department at the end of each working day, to confirm completion of works.
• To assist to rectify customer care issues where possible.
• You will be mentored by the Senior Engineer.

Normal working hours will be 8.00am to 4.30pm (on site) although due to the nature of work there may be occasions when you will be required to work later or flexibly.
