This month’s AV Magazine features an in-depth interview with StriveAV’s Managing Director, Toni Barnett, about the origins of StriveAV and how we have evolved into the award winning business we are today.

The article reveals StriveAV’s beginnings as the brainchild of the late Andy Duckworth, who saw the potential of using better AV solutions in schools to enhance levels of learning and performance amongst students.

Toni recalls how this first-hand knowledge gave Andy a unique advantage in understanding the market and matching clients with tailored solutions, leading to StriveAV becoming one of the most successful education AV integrators in the UK.

Toni, who joined StriveAV in 2003, also discussed the passing of Andy and her desire for StriveAV to carry on his legacy whilst adapting to the complex changing technology needs of the education market.

The article details the start of Toni’s career in the IT sales industry and her subsequent move to StriveAV after a chance meeting with Andy. They realised they had the same vision and ethos for the business and together ensured the company went from strength to strength despite drastic changes within the market.

From this original vision the business has grown rapidly, with the article highlighting a recent appointment to a £100 million framework to provide the Higher Education industry with AV solutions until 2018, and numerous more high-level projects.

Toni credits StriveAV’s success to putting the customer first, collaborating on ground-breaking products and always exceeding expectations.
