The University of Bolton independently organised a TED X event. StriveAV were approached at the end of February to provide the upgrade to the theatre projection and audio system in time for a prestigious TEDx Presentation that was to take place in the theatre on the 8th March.
Project Features
The University had recently taken over the former Bolton Sixth Form College site and as such needed to up-grade the old theatre at the Queens Specialist Building to make it more suitable for the University’s needs.
Project Benefits
The system was designed so that a sensor was triggered when visitors enter the kiln in the heritage centre, prompting the audio and video content to begin playing across the screen and meaning that there doesn’t need to be a permanent member of staff monitoring the centre.
Upstairs, internet access on the freestanding digital posters enables visitors to record their memories via social media to continue to add to the museum’s collection and growing the content and keeping it fresh.
